Education Credentials
The purpose of the Education Credential Committee is to provide educational opportunities and support to obtain a Certified Facility Manager (CFM) and Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation. Committee responsibilities include: Establish continuing education level FM courses; Establish FM Degree program at a local education institution; Improve membership awareness of the CFM process, and increase number of CFMs in the chapter; Promote and coordinate CFM study group; Promote and coordinate Education Grant. This committee is chaired by John Von Fange @ jwvonfange111@yahoo.com
Golf Classic Committee
This committee is responsible for coordinating the golf tournament each year. This event is one of the chapter’s fund-raiser. Planning for the tournament begins immediately after the current year tournament is over. There are usually six planning meetings per year. Approximately 30 volunteers are needed the day of the event. This committee is chaired by Tim Boze @ tim.boze@kone.com
Membership Recruitment
This committee is responsible for identifying and attracting prospective new members by contacting facility managers and vendors, with special emphasis on professional member recruitment. In addition, they will review monthly membership data and identify trends.
Membership Retention
One of the main responsibilities of this committee is to lead in the solicitation in the retention of current members. Committee members will place calls prior to meetings, serve as greeters at events, encourage membership renewals, and plan new member programs twice per year,
Partner with IFMA Sponsorship Program
The main responsibility of this committee is to encourage members to participate in the “Partner with IFMA” Sponsorship program. Proceeds from this fund-raiser subsidize the chapter’s educational programs. This committee is chaired by Greg Zuzack at gzuzack@rlandco.com.
Program Committee
The program committee develops monthly membership programs for the St. Louis Chapter of IFMA, ranging from paid speakers from out of town, to local corporate facility tours/programs. The program committee also develops relationships with other similar organizations to share or co-sponsor special programs/events. A committee member is asked to assist in recommendations for monthly meetings, programs, speakers, and facilities that will host program meetings. A committee member is responsible for the coordination of one or two programs per year. This committee is chaired by Don Finnegan @ dfinnegan@erac.com.
Web Site
The main focus of this committee is to provide up-to-date chapter information, membership rosters, and resources for members of the association. The web site is used to communicate upcoming events, program recaps, job bank, educational opportunities, as well as facility management related information and articles.
