Spring and Summer Bring Change and the Celebration of Excellence

The rains changed the face of St. Louis for a few weeks, and our members in restoration and clean up were out in full force helping other members, businesses and families. It was great to see IFMA members working in our community.

This record rain event also caused cancellation of the IFMA Golf Classic. The Golf Classic is rescheduled for June 29, and our sponsors and foursomes are on board. May was also the month for BOMA/IFMA/IREM Trade Show. It was a great event, and an opportunity for IFMA members to network with vendors and professionals from other related industries.

Summer has IFMA St. Louis will be celebrating National FM Day with our chapter awards and installation of the new board on June 21. This is one of the best events of the year where the Chapter celebrates excellence. Plan to attend and bring a guest who is might be interested in joining IFMA.

Excellence is also the focus of IFMA and the strategic partnership with RICS.   Visit and take advantage of learning opportunities for all aspects of the facility management profession. It is a single, easy to use website offering a robust catalog of FM education and online resources.

This past year has been an opportunity for the St. Louis Chapter to engage and your board has been working together to bring thoughtful, well executed programs and opportunities. IFMA St. Louis is blessed with strong leadership coming into the new term.

This past year was not without disappointments. Don Finnegan, our chapter’s vice president retired from Enterprise Holdings after 30 + years. Don was diligent in his service, thoughtful about the profession, and committed to promoting excellence in the FM profession. I want to express our sincere thanks to Don for his dedication, and for leading with a servant’s heart.

I want to thank all of you for the opportunity to serve you over the past year and I am excited about the new 2017/18 leadership.

Thank you!

Nancy Cripe
