Rich Janis, PE, Architect, LEED AP
Senior Lecturer, Washington University

We’re all in favor of sustainability and would like to have more green in our workplaces.

Our presenter, Rich Janis, will give an operational definition of “green” in the context of facilities and share ideas on how to sell it to the purse holder. For over 10 years he has taught a graduate course on Sustainable Building Systems at Washington University St. Louis.

His work focuses on identifying the cost/benefit of green in facilities and in running a business. He will present the business case, as he did at WWP in 2002 when he presented Making the Business Case for Sustainable Design.

  • Free parking available in lot adjacent to building. Enter through main lobby and turn left to meeting area.

On behalf of the St. Louis Chapter of IFMA, we thank our chapter member George Morche, Buildings & Grounds Manager for the Maryland Heights Community Center for hosting our program this month!
